Dubai Exiles Cricket Club missed out on the Dubai Super League Premier Play Off Final after a superb batting performance from Cool Boys’ Raheel Ahmed (an unbeaten 60), Rahman-Gul Afridi (40 off 30 balls) and Muhammad Asad (32 not out) contributed to Cool Boys Cricket Club posting a significant target for the Exiles to chase.

Raheel Ahmed had a great day with the bat
Exiles Cricket had got off to a great start. Cool Boys were 9 runs for 2 wickets in almost next to no time, and soon found themselves at 53 for 4. However, the arrival of Raheel Ahmed at the crease turned things around for Cool Boys CC. Ably assisted by Rahman-Gul Afridi and later in the innings, Muhammad Asad, the Cool Boys racked up a total of 193 runs off their 25 overs.

Jack Luffman had a busy time between the wickets
Chasing almost 8 runs an over, the boundary at the Sevens Stadium Cricket Grounds proved an elusive target for the Exiles batsmen. There were a number of good performances, openers Jack Luffman (40) and Harsh ‘Harry’ Udeshi (29) partnered for 64 runs before ‘Harry’ was caught in deep cover when looking to up the Exiles’ run rate.

Muhammad Akbar Bosan announced himself with a six
Captain Dave Adams tried to move things along with 32 off 22 balls
The run rate was getting away from Exiles CC and in the end proved too much. Despite valiant efforts to knock the cricket ball over the other side of the E66 the Exiles came up short and Cool Boys CC deservedly moved into the final.
